Rules & Guidelines

1.1. Only one account per person. Do not create multiple accounts for any reason. If you do not remember your login, password, can't access your e-mail or you fail to log in to your existing account, please contact us, we are happy to solve the issue. If you created another account by mistake, please report it to @Make My Sims Real, any duplicate accounts must be disabled and deleted. 1.2. Account sharing is disallowed. Everyone must have their own account. If you are sharing your Internet connection with someone else, please let us know here or message @Make My Sims Real.

2.1. Avoid posting your personal information in the contact fields. We cannot be held liable if you distribute your personal information and make it public. Username 2.2. Your username must be unique. Please refrain from using similar nicknames to avoid confusion. The rule also applies to using well-known creators' nicknames. 2.3. Your username must not be an e-mail, website address or a telephone number. E-mails, website addresses, links or telephone number nicknames are not allowed on this forum. 2.4. Usernames must not contain symbols or figures only. Usernames like 1234567890 or £$*&() are not allowed on this forum. 2.5. Usernames must be in Latin script only. Please do not use any scripts or characters rather than Latin. If your username does not comply with our rules, we reserve a right to change your username to User #. You will receive an notification if that happens, and you will be given an opportunity to change your nickname.

3.1. Be respectful and considerate towards staff and other members at all times. Trolling, harassing, abuse or discrimination will not be tolerated. Any kind of unpleasant behaviour or toxic attitude is not welcome on this forum. This includes communication via personal messages as well. 3.2. No mini-modding. Please do not comment on people breaking the rules or remind people about the rules, please use the report function instead. Let the staff handle the issue. Usergroups 3.3. In order to join a usergroup, members must complete an application process. Those can vary and be changed at any time. Users cannot be accepted without an application process. 3.4. When joining a usergroup, you agree with their rules automatically. Usergroup-specific rules must be obeyed as well. Please check your usegroup's private board for those.

4.1. No controversial, sensitive or divisive topics. Please do not start discussions about religion, politics, social issues, etc. Do not provoke people regardless of their and your views and do not continue those discussions. This rule also applies to sharing materials of such nature. Always remember that we gathered here to discuss the Sims game series. 4.2. Keep the forum tidy. Please keep our forum tidy and easy to use and navigate through. Therefore, we ask you to create topics in appropriate sections (forums) and refrain from off-topic and spam. We reserve the right to move or delete your posts and topics. 4.3. No hotlinking / bandwidth theft. Do not post direct links to files or images from other websites. If you are posting a file, please share a link to the page, not the direct link to the file. If you are posting an image, reupload it to an image hosting website. 4.4. Avoid off-topic. Please do not clutter our topics. Do your best to stick to the topic and always create topics where they fit best. 4.5. No spamming. No posting the same message repeatedly. 4.6. No doubleposting / multiposting. Please edit your post if you have something new to say instead of creating another post. 4.7. No Ad.Fly links. Posting Ad.Fly links on the forum is strictly prohibited. Unfortunately, if one posts Mediafire or 4shared links, our hosting adds the Ad.Fly prefix to it. We regret to inform you that there's no way around that. Therefore, we ask you not to post Mediafire or 4shared links. Please use alternative hostings, for example SimFileShare. 4.8. Strictly no advertising. You must not advertise anything (other websites, blogs, services, etc) when posting or via PM. Bringing something up or posting something for the sole purpose of advertising is also disallowed. 4.9. No excessive formatting (text colour, size and fonts). Keep the forum pleasant to read and view. It is advised not to use any formatting at all. 4.10. Please do not quote pictures. When quoting a post, please remove the picture code from your post to make our forum easier to read. 4.11. Images and links must not contain any inappropriate or adult materials. Please keep it family-friendly. No disturbing, gore or adult materials or links. 4.12. No plagiarism. Claiming other people's creations, posts or other materials as your own is strictly prohibited. Always give credit when it's due. When sharing custom content submissions, please do not reupload files anywhere. You should link to the original post (thread, page) instead. This rule does not apply if the website is no longer active and the custom content you are posting is not available elsewhere (file sharing). Nevertheless, you must always mention the original website and creator in the description. 4.13. WCIF requests must be posted in 'Where Can I Find' sections only. Do not post WCIFs in other topics, discussions or personal messages. We also ask you not to encourage breaking the aforementioned rule by replying to those requests. 4.14. Please communicate in English only. The official language of this forum is English, please do not use other languages.

5.1. Please do not contact forum staff about the forum via their personal contacts. Use designated areas (like the support board or the report function) to solve forum-related problems. Do not use forum personal messages to ask questions, ask for help and reports (unless it's a report about PMs). 5.2. Do not abuse the report function. Report function exists to let our moderators and administrators know about a problem, breaking the rules or broken links. Inappropriate use of the report function is not allowed. 5.3. Do not abuse the mention function. Please do not tag people excessively and unnecessarily. 5.4. Plumbobs cannot be sold or purchased for real money. The only way to earn Plumbobs is to be active on the forum by participating in discussions, challenges, forum activities, contests, etc. As for spending, Plumbobs can be only spent to unlock some forum features (signature, etc) 5.5. Do not abuse or use tags (hashtags) unnecessarily. Tag system exists for navigating throughout the forum. Cluttering tags is disallowed. Any inappropriate tag usages will be removed without any notice. 5.6. All eligible posts must be tagged. If you are a Treasure Hunter or a Resident Creator, you must use our tag system.

6.1. Section/board rules. Some sections on the forum have posting rules and guidelines, as well as general rules of the forum. Please comply with the individual section/topic rules as well. We will update this section with links to those rules as soon as possible
